Enjoy a fun filled day of celebration on Canada's Birthday in Banff which include fun events, annual parade and fireworks!


Festivities and fun are available for all ages so come and enjoy!

 

 

Canada Day Schedule of Events for July 1, 2013 as provided by the Town of Banff:

 

• 8-10 am, Pancake Breakfast, Lynx St. by Melissa's

• 9 am, Volunteer Registration, Town Hall

• 10:30 am, Canada Day Sidewalk Art, Outside the Whyte Museum

• 12 pm, Opening Ceremonies with Mayor Karen Sorensen and Banff National Park superintendent Dave McDonough
Central Park

• 12 pm, Bow Valley SPCA BBQ food booth opens/Pooch rest area opens, High School Field

• 12:25 pm, Singing of O Canada by Heather Jordan, Central Park

• 12:30 pm, The Hunt Family First Nations Blessing, Central Park

• 12:30 pm, Egg & Spoon races begin for ages:
1) 3-5 years old
2) 6-8 years old
3) 9-12 years old
4) 13-16 years old
5) 17+
High School Field

• 1 pm, Family Fun Zone opens, Central Park

• 1 pm, Verkhovyna School of Ukrainian Dance performance

• 3:30 pm, Road closures for the parade begin at Fox St. (full road closure map below), Fox Street

• 3:45 pm, Balloon artist & clown Isabelle Cliche, Banff Avenue Square

• 4 pm, Tug Of War competition between Banff and Canmore mayors & councils, High School Field

• 5-6:30 pm, Canada Day Parade! It begins at Fox Street and ends on Bow Ave & Buffalo Street (full route map below), Throughout Town

• 7 pm, The Dino Martinis perform, Central Park (Stampede Stage)

• 8 pm, Boneyard performs, Central Park (Gazebo)

• 8:30 pm, The Dino Martinis perform, Central Park (Stampede Stage)

• 9:30 pm, Boneyard performs, Central Park (Gazebo)

• 10 pm, The Dino Martinis perform, Central Park (Stampede Stage)

• 11 pm, Fireworks, Central Park
