Banff Bow River Walk
Things To Do In Banff

Bow River Side Walk

Along the Bow River from the train tracks almost to Surprise Corner or the Bow Falls, there is a walking path that anybody can take to enjoy the weather.  If you get tired, there are benches here and there. You will see some locals having a picnic or taking the dog for walk.  It is a beautiful walk and most of it is paved.

The trail across the river leads to the Bow Falls and playground.  The Town side leads to the train tracks and a dead end near Surprise Corner (there are stairs to get back to Buffalo street to continue on to Surprise Corner).  There is a public washroom in Central Park and you can get to Banff Avenue right away for snacking.

Early morning to late afternoon or early evenings, anytime of the day is perfect to walk down this trail.  Enjoy the nature!
