Sulphur Mountain Gondola
Banff’s only Gondola takes you up to the top of Sulphur Mountain and you will have a panoramic view of the Canadian Rockies. The gondola ride takes about 7 minutes and there is a cafeteria and restaurant at the top as well as a gift shop. You can walk on the boardwalk to next peak to the observation decks. Opening hours vary according to sunrise and sunset. Early in the morning and evenings are quieter. It is usually colder at the top, bring your warmer clothes just in case.
Go up Mountain Avenue just past the Rimrock Resort near the Upper Hot Springs. You can take public transportation as well. It is open all year round and you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The restaurant might only be open seasonally.
