The Paint Pots is a great introduction to snowshoeing that provides a look at the fur trade and its impact on Western Canada. Along the way hear stories of Banff’s indigenous people, explorers and fur traders who lived and traveled through the Rockies. You will have a chance to see first hand some of the clothes, tools and techniques used by these hardy people to make a living in the mountains. Take the time to discover natural alpine landscapes and high mountain vistas on an Alpine Helicopters hike. Feel free to explore while your experienced guide provides knowledgeable commentary on the areas of geography and flora and fauna. This excursion offers a 9 minute scenic helicopter flight to a secluded area on Mt. Charles Stewart. High above the Bow River Valley you will have 3 to 4 hours of hiking time with a pace and distance covered depending entirely on the ability of the group. 
Friendly Alaskan Huskies are eager to pull you through the mountains on a half day adventure! Participate at your own confidence level: help hook the dogs up to the team, be a passenger, or drive the dogsled under the careful attention of your guide. The Huskies will pull you beneath the peaks of the Front Range Rocky Mountains as you sled along the Spray Lakes. Snack on gourmet beef jerky, smoked salmon,cheese and dried fruit before returning home.
