It’s been a quiet period in Banff National Park to say the least, however there is great news from Parks Canada.
On Monday June 1, 2020, Parks Canada will reopen ‘some’ trails, day use areas and green spaces. Physical distancing rules remain in place and for your own safety, visitors are encouraged not to try and access areas and facilities that remain closed.
At the moment camping facilities remain closed until at least June 21 while Parks Canada determines the safest way for these facilities to reopen under the safest conditions for everyone.
The Trans Canada Highway remains open so travellers can pass through the Park as per their travel needs.
⚠ Starting June 1, 2020 visitors can access some trails, day use areas, green spaces as well as lakes/waterways in certain PC places. ➡ https://t.co/BQbIOZ8E9P#WeMissYouToo ❤ but until then, our visitor facilities/vehicle parking remain closed. Thanks for your patience! pic.twitter.com/FWTTN9eNKU
